현대사회의 모든 삶은 에너지를 기반으로 합니다. 밥을 먹고 취미를 즐기는 아주 일상적인 일까지도요. 그리고 현재, 에너지 생산의 대부분은 화력 발전으로 이루어집니다. 우리 모두는 화력발전이 낳는 심각한 환경적 문제와 고갈의 가능성을 알고 있습니다. 그럼에도 할 수 있는 일은 겨우 콘센트를 뽑고 스위치를 끄는 일 뿐이었죠. 더이상 우리는, 오늘보다 나은 내일을 위해 손 놓고 있을 수만은 없었습니다.

For a better energy future, what can we do?
Everything in modern society is based on energy, including the very routine of eating and enjoying hobbies. And now, most of the energy produced is made up of thermal power. We all know the serious environmental problems and the potential for depletion of thermal power. Yet, all we could do was just unplug the outlet and turn the lights off. For a better tomorrow than today, we couldn’t just let go of this situation any longer.

"Harvesters", a new species that uses the technology of energy harvesting, have appeared. By defining ‘harvester’ as a race with independence to energy, we propose that energy problems could be an area in which individuals can actively manage. Our energy cannot replace entire energy supply around the world, but it could power one movie to watch right now. Wouldn’t it will be possible to stop at least one thermal power plant with the power gathered from individuals?

The harvesters use three pieces of equipment to collect wasted energy in the house.The act of separating the collected energy from the equipment was inspired by the actions of a farmer harvesting ripe fruits. You can become a harvestor to pick, dig or unwrap the energy and use the energy you created yourself.

We Spread Out with #
우리가 수확한 전기는 기존의 에너지와는 다르게 출처와 맥락을 가지고 있습니다. 내가 일상 속에서 전기를 만든 과정들은 해시태그를 통해 각자의 shop의 간판이 됩니다. 모든 해시태그는 전기의 이미지이자 서사가 되어 비슷한 라이프 스타일을 가진 사람들이 공감대와 작은 친밀감을 형성하는 요소가 될 거예요. 당신의 취미생활로, 반려견과의 놀이로, 홈트레이닝으로 얻은 전기를 해시태그로 퍼뜨려보세요.
The electricity we harvest has a different source and context comparted to conventional energy. The process of making electricity from your daily life becomes a signage of your shop through hashtags. All hashtags become biographical images and narratives of self-created electricity, allowing people with similar lifestyles to share and bond. Spread the electricity you gained from your hobbies, playing with your dog, and doing home training using the hashtags.

E.ST is a place where harvested batteries are stored like a basket for harvested fruits. It also allows you to plug-in and use the power, and serves to enable transactions with others.
